Doctor of medicine diploma awarded to Gurdev Singh Gill on May 21, 1957, from the University of British Columbia medical school. Dr. Gill became the first South Asian Canadian to graduate from a medical school in Canada and was the first to practise in the country. Item was originally framed by Dr. Gill.

Book from the ten year reunion event for that University of British Columbia's medical school's class of 1957. The book includes a message from the dean of the Faculty of Medicine and a summary of the event itself. The main portion of the book includes biographical sketches of each alumnus. There are several photographs included as well.
