An award presented by Cowichan United Way to Herb Doman in recognition of his "superior citizenship qualities" in looking after the less fortunate members of the community. The award consists of a rectangular plaque with the award text at the top and the Cowichan United Way logo at the bottom. The logo depicts a large right hand with its palm facing upwards. A tiny stylized human figure stands in the palm of the hand with its arms raised. Four curved lines are arranged in an arc above the hand, representing a rainbow.

An award presented to Herb Doman by the Nanaimo Harbour Commission during the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Duke Point sawmill. The award recognizes the unidentified Doman Industries location as the first user of the Duke Point shipping terminal. The award consists of a wooden board decorated with the logo of the Port of Nanaimo, which depicts the outline of a lighthouse in front of three wavy horizontal lines representing ocean waves. A plaque bearing the dedication is fixed to the board below the logo.
