[Group photo with Herb Doman receiving an award from the Port of Nanaimo at an unidentified Doman Industries ribbon cutting ceremony]

In a rain-soaked parking lot during an unidentified Doman Industries ribbon-cutting ceremony, Herb Doman stands in front of Doman Industries transport truck no. 788 with two other men. The leftmost man, wearing a beige overcoat, is presenting Herb with an award on behalf of the Port of Nanaimo. Herb and the other man present are both wearing dark grey overcoats. Doman Industries forklift no. 314 can be seen parked next to the truck, loading a bale of lumber onto its bed.

legible text on award reads "Port of Nanaimo H. S. Doman". Decals on truck read "[7]88" and "GVW 5,000". Labels on bales of lumber read "14 NAN" and "H 28".
