[Group photo with Herb Doman addressing a crowd at an unidentified company function at the Coast Bastion Inn in Nanaimo, B.C.]

In a hall at the Coast Bastion Inn in Nanaimo B.C., a large crowd looks on while Herb Doman stands behind a podium with a microphone on a raised platform. One man stands on the raised platform to Herb's right, while seven other men stand on the floor with their attention turned to Herb. Herb is holding a large trophy. Other attendees can be seen sitting at folding tables in the background. Two exit doors and a light fixture can be seen in the background.

Raised lettering on podium reads "Coast Bastion Inn". Exit signs read "Exit". "Constructed in the mid-1980s, the Coast Bastion Hotel is a 14 story structure featuring 179 guest rooms, assorted banquet and meeting room services, [and] the elegant Minnoz Restaurant & Lounge." -David Holmes
