Dr. Vivek A. Savkur is the Managing Director of Anand Commercial Services Pvt Ltd. Mumbai and owner of Savkur International Agencies in Vancouver, B.C.. He is thefounder and president emeritus of B.C.-India Business Network (BCIBN). Before immigrating to Canada from Mumbai, he held several positions in the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC), Mumbai and was on its National Board for several years and was its National President for three consecutive years. He is the recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal, awarded in 2025.
Incorporated in 1982, the Canada-India Business Council has works with businesses, not-for-profits, and government sections to grow business operations in Canada and India. It has served as a bi-national hub, a facilitator of prosperous business value, and a provider of high-quality environments for stakeholders to engage with. The Canada-India Business Council has hosted 22 events, 10 roundtables, and has engaged 700+ leaders.
