Standing at a podium under a shelter in front of an unidentified government building, Herb Doman delivers a speech at a Commonwealth Nature Legacy event. Eight local political figures stand behind him. Two are obscured by the podium, another is cut off by the rightmost edge of the photograph. The leftmost political figure is Moe Sihota. Short trees, hedges, and the brick facade of a building can be seen behind the shelter. Munmohan Singh "Moe" Sihota is a Canadian former broadcaster and politician. He is the first Canadian of South Asian and Indian descent to be elected to provincial parliament.

Poster on podium reads "A Heritage of Green Space The Commonwealth Nature Legacy Province of British Columbia".
