[Photo of seven youths and one adult aboard the Nanaimo Junior Forest Wardens parade float at an unidentified parade]

Photo of the Nanaimo Junior Forest Wardens float as it moves down the road at an unidentified parade. This photo is focused on the parade float itself. The exterior of the float is covered with yellow crepe paper. The decorations visible in this photo include multi colored streamers, miniature pine trees, sticks, logs, a poster pinned to the side of the float, and a figure of U.S. Forest Service mascot Smokey Bear. Seven children and youths and one adult can be seen standing aboard the float. All of them are wearing JFW uniforms. One youth is holding a pair of yellow and red signalling flags, while two others are holding nondescript wooden tools. The The Junior Forest Wardens is a Canadian volunteer-led organization focused on developing a wild lands conservation ethic in youth. The JFW uniform consists of a red long-sleeved dress shirt with a logo on the left shoulder and right breast along with a red hat, dark grey pants, a dark grey tie, and a yellow aiguillette worn on the left shoulder.

Sign on float reads "Keep B.C. [green]". Legible text on poster reads "Smokey's ABC's".
