Community-based research

University College of the Fraser Valley (UCFV) Reseach Review, a peer-reviewed online journal, issued a poster calling for papers/contributions on the theme, "South Asian Studies: Transnational Issues" for their October, 2006 issue. The poster further details the requirements for the submission, details the areas that it must cover, as well as the deadline.

The Centre for Indo-Canadian Research Report for July, 2005 titled, "A Partnership for Youth" highlights the establishment and inauguratory events of the centre as well as includes biographies of several established members of the Indo-Canadian community and what the centre means for them. Moreover, the report includes various facts and accomplishments of CICSR.

Newspaper clipping titled, "Satwinder Bains director, Center for Indo-Canadian Studies" written by Ajit Jain in India Abroad, that discusses the event of Satwinder Bains being chosen as the Director for the Centre for Indo-Canadian Studies and Research at the University of the Fraser Valley and her opinion of the Centre being source for research to unite the Indo-Canadian community and spread awareness with the goal of reaching a truly multicultural society where all communities are contributing equally and supporting one another.
