The event was presented by the Centre for Indo Canadian Studies and the UFV English Department, and hosted five South Asian authors who spoke about their work and did some readings.

The book highlights a story of three women during the India-Pakistan Partition in 1947 and the demand for an independent Sikh state, Khalistan came into violent existence in the 1980s.
