Description
A memo to the Rotary Club of Duncan summarizing a recent address by former British Columbia Supreme Court Justice John V. Clyne. The address concerned the Quebec separation referendum of 1980, to which Clyne was strongly opposed. Instead, Clyne proposed the formation of a commission of "men of wisdom and knowledge" to draft a new and more universally accommodating constitution for Canada. This address was arranged by Herb Doman. John Valentine Clyne was a Canadian lawyer and former Justice of the British Columbia Supreme Court. He was born on February 14, 1902 and died on August 22, 1989.
