Description
An aerial photo of the Doman Industries Ladysmith sawmill. The property, situated parallel to Ludlow Road, consists of a large, roughly rectangular artificial landmass built onto the waters of Ladysmith's sheltered harbour. The majority of the property is taken up by lumber yards where lifts of lumber are stored in tall stacks. A cluster of milling buildings and warehouses sits roughly in the centre of the property near to the road into Ladysmith. The property is dotted with regularly spaced utility poles. A few small sheds stand at the waters edge, with one having an attached parking lot. The water immediately abutting the property is used as a log pond, where felled trees float arranged in large, rectangular sections.

Six South Asian lumber mill workers eat lunch in the breakroom of Ladysmith Forest Products. One of them is only barely visible, with everything but his hand obscured by another worker. They sit around a table covered with lunchboxes and thermoses. Behind them, four other workers can be seen at a similar table, turning to better face the camera. There are coats hanging on the wall in the background. From File "Ladysmith Forest Products".
