On two chairs in front of him are his wife Khushal Kaur and the wife and sister-in-law, Amar Kaur. Amar Kaur was the wife of Ghanda Singh, Mayo Singh's younger brother. There are six children in the photograph. Both Amar Kaur and Khushal Kaur are holding young children, there are two seated on small chairs, and two are seen standing.
