Aditya Verma is a sarod, sitar and tabla player from Montreal, Quebec. He was first trained in the tabla by his father, Dr. Narendra Verma, and Ustad Zakir Hussain. in 1987, Aditya moved to India where he studied North Indian classical music in the tradition of the Maihar Senia Gharana (school). He has also studied under the sitar player Pandit Ravi Shankar and the sarod players Ustad Aashish Khan and Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. Uwe Neumann is a jazz guitarist and sitar player. He is a student of sitar maestro Pandit Indranil Bhattacharya. He spent 10 years living and studying in India, and is currently based in Canada. Jonathan Voyer is a Hindustani classical vocalist currently based in Montreal, Canada. He has studied under Pandit Satish Vyas, Pandit Somanath Mardur, and Anita Louise Yard. Shawn Mativetsky is a tabla player currently based in Montreal, Canada. He is a disciple of Pandit Sharda Sahai. He also teaches tabla at McGill University. Subir Dev is a tabla player and member of Duniya Project. He was born in Bangladesh and later moved to Montreal, Canada. He studied North Indian classical music under Dr. Narendra Verma and now provides instrumental accompaniment to many artists from India.

Anuradha Pal is a tabla player. She was born in the city of Mumbai in Maharashtra, India.

Irshad Khan is a sitar and surbahar player and vocalist based in Mississauga, Ontario. Considered a child prodigy, Khan has been performing publicly since the age of 7. He is also the founder/president of the Universal Academy for Musicians. In addition to actively performing, he also conducts workshops, lectures and master classes in various educational institutions. Hindol Majumdar is a tabla player. He began learning tabla at the age of 5 and had his first performance at the age of 10. He has since collaborated with world music percussionists like Doyra player Abbos Kosimov, four time Grammy award winner Glenn Velez, and world renowned Mridangam exponent Legendary Trichy Sankaran. He also founded the Hindole Majumdar School of Music and Dance in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in USA where he teaches Tabla and Indian Rhythm.

He is the student of the tabla maestro Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. Asaf Mirza is a reed organist.

The first is a screening of Shabnam Virmani's 2008 documentary Had Anhad: Journeys with Ram and Kabir followed by a panel with Indian filmmaker Shabnam Virmani held at the Birks Heritage Chapel. The second is a panel discussion on Kabir: Word, Sound, and Image held in the Senior Common Room in the Birks Building. The third is a musical performance of In Quest of Kabir performed by Kabir folksinger Prahlad Singh Tipanya and his group at the New Residence Hall Ballroom. Kabir was a 15th century mystic and philosopher. He was born in 1398[disputed] in the city of Varanasi in what is now Uttar Pradesh, India. His writings on religious practices he deemed unethical or meaningless made him a divisive figure among the Hindus and Muslims of his day. After his death, his writings would go on to influence the Bhakti Movement of medieval Hinduism and would be included in the Sikh text Guru Granth Sahib. He is regarded as a saint by Vaishnavist Hindus, and his teachings are followed by the Kabir Panth denomination of the Sant Mat movement. Had Anhad (Bounded Boundless) is a multi-part[?] documentary series exploring the life and philosophy of Kabir in the contexts of religion, politics, and Indian/Pakistani tensions. Shabnam Virmani is a documentary filmmaker and artist. Since 2002, she has been artist in residence at the Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology in the city of Bangalore in Karnataka, India. She is also the co-founder of the Drishti Media Collective and a member of the Kabir Project. Prahlad Singh Tipanya is an Indian folk singer. He was born on September 7, 1954 in the town of Tarana in Madhya Pradesh, India. Along with backing instrumentalists, he performs Kabir bhajans in the Malwi folk style from Madhya Pradesh. He is a member of the Kabir Project.

Nirupama and Rajendra are a husband and wife duo of Kathak dancers. They were both students of Guru Maya Rao. In 1994 they founded the Abhinava Dance Company. Guru Kumudini Lakhia is a Kathak dancer and choreographer based in the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat, India. She was born on May 17, 1930 in India. In 1967 she founded the Kadamb School of Dance and Music. Praveen Rao is a musician, music director and a lyricist for Kannada language songs based in Bangalore, India. Pravin Ghodkindi is a classical Hindustani bansuri player. He was born on October 28, 1973 in the city of Dharwad in Karnataka, India. He is the son and pupil of Pandit Venkatesh Godkhindi and was a student under Guru Vidwan Anoor Ananth Krishna Sharma.

Directed and presented by James Cameron, this documentary covers Gandhi as a person as well as a political strategist. Citizen King originally aired on January 19, 2004 as the fourth episode of the sixteenth season of the documentary series American Experience. Directed by Orlando Bagwell and Noland Walker, this documentary covers the final five years of King's life. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, better known as Mahatma Gandhi, was an Indian civil rights activist and advocate of nonviolent resistance. He was born on October 2, 1868 in the city of Porbandar in Gujarat, India, then the Porbandar State of the British Raj. He played an integral role in India's struggle for independence from the British Empire. On January 30, 1948, he was assassinated by the Hindu Nationalist Nathuram Godse. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., originally named Michael King Jr., was an African-American clergyman and civil rights leader. He was born on January 15, 1929 in the city of Atlanta in Georgia, United States of America. Influenced by both Christian dogma and the nonviolent activism of Mahatma Gandhi, he employed nonviolent resistance as part of his activism against segregation and Jim Crow laws. On April 4, 1968, he was assassinated. James Cameron was a writer and director of both drama and documentary films. He was born on June 17, 1911 in the district of Battersea in London, England. He died on January 26, 1985. Noland Walker is a documentary filmmaker and the Vice President of Content at Independent Television Service, which funds and presents documentaries on public television. Orlando Bagwell is a documentary filmmaker known for works covering the history of Black civil rights in America.

He has been performing since 1992 and has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including the President's Award from All India Radio.
