Two individual photos of the winning horse, "Crafty Run" from the race on September 8, 1952 at Exhibition Park. The photo on top captures the horses crossing the Finish Line. The group photo below is taken after the race in the "Winner's Circle" where the happy owners, family and friends gather to celebrate. Photo of Thakar Singh with one of his race horses outside a barn at the Brighouse Racetrack in Richmond, BC, circa 1940's. Thakar Singh, knowing he was ill, asked Phangan Singh Gill to buy his horses and send the money to his family in India. So began Phangan Singh Gill's love of Thoroughbred horses and racing.
