The Gujarati Hindu Seniors Society of British Columbia (GHSS) is a registered charitable organization established in 1994 by a group of Gujarati pioneers who immigrated from various parts of the world and settled in Canada. The society was founded to create a space where Gujarati-speaking Hindu seniors could connect, share their language, faith, and cultural heritage, and build a strong community. It offers cultural events like Navratri and Diwali celebrations, health and wellness seminars, and support services, including funeral assistance and emotional support groups. GHSS also maintains a library and a business directory to help seniors access local services.
The Michael J Fox Theatre is located in Burnaby South Secondary School in B.C. Burnaby South Secondary School is one of eight secondary schools within the Burnaby School District, in south central Burnaby. Built as part of the school in 1993, the Michael J Fox Theatre is overseen by an independent, non-profit society. The Michael J Fox Theatre Society Board consists of community volunteers and functions independently of the Burnaby School Board. In November 1995, the Theatre was officially named after Michael J. Fox, in recognition of his achievements in the arts and commitment to the community.

The UBC Indian Students' Association (UTSAV) was incepted in 1980 and is the largest student-run club at the Alma Mater Society of UBC. Their vision is to provide a "home away from home" by helping students embrace South Asian culture. They have held events in celebration of Diwali and Holi.
Established in 1915, the University of British Columbia consists of two campuses: one is situated within the ancestral and unceded territory of the Musqueam people, also known as Vancouver, B.C., and the other is on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Syilx Okanagan Nation and their peoples, also known as Kelowna, B.C. As of 2025, UBC is ranked second and third in Canada, and 38th, 41st, and 53rd in the world.

Bharatanatyam, a classical dance style of India, is indigenous to the Tamil Nadu region and prevalent in southern India. Bharatanatyam serves the expression of Hindu religious themes and devotions. Bharatanatyam was originally performed exclusively by female temple dancers and was not brought to the stage for public performance until about 1930. A vital tradition of Bharatanatyam is a graduation performance, called Arangetram, in which graduates showcase their talents.
For over 50 years, The Cultch has been a cultural hub in the heart of East Vancouver. They have three theatres: the Historic (previously known as the East Vancouver Cultural Centre), the Vancity Culture Lab, and the York. They have hosted a plethora of performances, including theatre, dance, music, circus, and visual arts.
