Police Martyrs' Day or Police Commemoration Day is observed on the 21st of October every year in India. It is considered to be one of the Martyr's Days (Shahadat Diwas). It commemorates the sacrifices of ten policemen who sacrificed their life while defending India's borders against China in 1959.
