A Gandharva is one of an order of divine beings in Dharmic Religion. The men of this order play music while the women are dancers. In Hinduism, they are musicians in service to the Devas. Sumitra Guha is an Indian classical vocalist who performs in both the Carnatic and Hindustani schools of classical music. She was born in Andhra Pradesh, India. Nikhil Tikekar is a tabla player. He is the student of the tabla maestro Pandit Anindo Chatterjee. Asaf Mirza is a reed organist.

Dr. Vinay Bhide is a Hindustani classical vocalist. He was a student of Ustad Bade Ghulamali Khan of the Patiala Gharana (school). He holds a PhD in physics and is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Music Department at Carleton University in Ottawa.. Dr. K.S. Narasiah is Carnatic vocalist. Vineet Vyas is a tabla player. He was born in Nova Scotia, Canada and was introduced to Hindustani classical music at the age of 5. He is the grandson of the classical vocalist Pandit Brahmanand Vyas and the disciple of tabla maestro Pandit Kishan Maharaj. He holds an MFA in World Percussion from the California Institute of the Arts. Dr. Satish Salgar is a harmonium player. Anjana Srinivasan is a violinist from Montreal. As a teenager, she studied Carnatic violin in India. She is also a faculty lecturer in the Family Medicine department of McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Saravanan Sundararajan is a mridangam player and bharatanatyam dancer. He is a member of the Kala Bharati dance school.

Features vocals by Ulhas Kashalkar, Suresh Talwaklar on the tabla, and Sudhir Nayak on the harmonium. Ulhas Kashaklar is a Hindustani classical vocalist. He was born on January 14 1955 in the city of Nagpur in Maharashtra, India. He is a gold medalist from Nagpur University and has studied under Rajabhau Kogje and Prabhakar Rao Khardenavis​. He has been a Guru at both Bengal Parampara Sangeetlay and MIT Gurukul. Suresh Talkwalkar is a tabla player. He was born in 1948 in the city of Mumbai in Maharashtra, India. He initially learned tabla from his father Dattatrey Talwalkar before training under tabla players Pandharinath Nageshkar, Vinayakrao Ghangrekar and Ramdutt Patil. He also studied the rhythm theory of Carnatic music and Hindustani classical singing. In 2001, the title of TaalYogi was conferred upon him by Bharathi Tirtha. Sudhir Nayak is a reed organist. He was born on May 15 1972 in the city of Mumbai in Maharashtra, India. He is a disciple of Pandit Tulsidas Borkar and Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki.

Features vocals by Rajan Misra and Sajan Misra, Vineet Vyas on the tabla, and Raya Bidaye on the harmonium. The brothers Rajan and Sajan Mishra were a famous duo of singers who performed in the Khyal style of Hindustani classical music. They were part of the Banaras Gharana's (school's) 300-year lineage of khyal vocalists. On April 15, 2021, Rajan Mishra died of a heart attack brought on by complications from COVID-19. Vineet Vyas is a tabla player. He was born in Nova Scotia, Canada and was introduced to Hindustani classical music at the age of 5. He is the grandson of the classical vocalist Pandit Brahmanand Vyas and the disciple of tabla maestro Pandit Kishan Maharaj. He holds an MFA in World Percussion from the California Institute of the Arts. Raya Bidaye is a reed organist.

Features vocals by Rajendra Kandalgaonkar, Subir Dev on the tabla, and Rajiv Ulhas Tambe on the harmonium. Rajendra Kandalgaonkar is an Indian classical vocalist. Beginning at the age of 7, he was trained for 18 years by Pandit Vishnu A Ghag, and later became a disciple of Bharatratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi of the Kirana Gharana. He is also the principal of the Sawai Gandharva Sangeet Mahavidyalaya in Pune, India. Subir Dev is a tabla player and member of Duniya Project. He was born in Bangladesh and later moved to Montreal, Canada. He studied North Indian classical music under Dr. Narendra Verma and now provides instrumental accompaniment to many artists from India. Rajiv Ulhas Tambe is a reed organist who accompanies senior classical vocalists. He also runs a music academy in the neighbourhood of Chinchwad in Pune, India where he teaches harmonium, tabla and classical vocals.

Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth out of tenth guru, and is considered to be the second Sikh martyr executed by the Mughal rulers.

Officially registered as the Hindu Cultural Society and Community Centre of B.C., the Hindu Temple of Burnaby, previously known as Vishva Hindu Parishad temple, stands as one of Canada's oldest and largest Hindu temples. It was founded on May 15, 1972 as a small prayer hall in North Burnaby, dedicated to preserving and promoting Hindu culture and traditions.
