Nirvana Indian Restaurant is currently owned by Opi and Ravi Bedi, a wife and husband duo. Ravi immigrated to Canada, leaving his home of Punjab, India to seek the dream for himself & his family. His very first job in Canada was as a cook at Nirvana Indian Restaurant in 1986, so when the restaurant went up for sale, the couple phoned up the owner and bought it in 2018. In 2022, a fire broke out at the Main St location where the restaurant had been based out of for 40+ years, but they were able to re-open a new location on Victoria Dr in 2023.
