Ayurveda & Aromatherapy: The Earth Essential Guide to Ancient Wisdom and Modern Healing is a book related to health and medicine, about ayurveda and aromatherapy as a means to healing the body. It helps readers diagnose their metabolic type and apply healing modalities. The book was published by Lotus Press in 1995 and was written by Dr. Light Miller and Dr. Bryan Miller.
Light Miller was born in New York in 1947. Her father was an Indian diplomat, her mother was an aromatherapist, and her grandmother practiced as an Ayurvedic herbalist. Miller was an ayurvedic practitioner, specifically a practitioner of Kaya Kalpa, a special ayurvedic treatment. Miller did her training for Kaya Kalpa in India from Dr. Panchu Bai Chotay and upon returning to the United States, passed her training along to her husband, Dr. Bryan Miller. Light and Bryan Miller offered therapeutic education programs across the United States, Canada and Europe teaching ayurveda and aromatherapy. In 2002, they founded the Ayurvedic College for Well-Being in Sarasota, Florida. Along with writing Ayurveda & Aromatherapy, Miller also published two more books with Lotus Press called Ayurvedic Remedies and Ayurvedic Curative Cuisine for Everyone. Miller was a regular contributor to the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine, a supporter of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association, and was a member of the National Aromatherapy Health Association. She passed away in 2018.
