Herb reassures Joe that if they give a carrot to one of the local politicians, the rest of them will allow the company to do whatever they want. The carrot has been partially erased with liquid paper and redrawn. Joe Frumento was a log buyer for British Columbia Forest Products and later Vice-President of Doman Industries.
